23rd Annual West Augusta Primitive Rendezvous
June 9th through 13th 2010
The camp is approximately one mile from the last turnoff to Nancy Hanks Memorial (near Keyser) on Knobley Rd., just over the Grant Co. line, in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. If you would like to come and spend the week, please come and join us!
CAMP EVENTS:
- Aggregate Woodswalk, Scribe's Match and Hawk & Knife
- Rifle Match, Smoothbore Match (rear sights will be allowed)
- Fire Starting Contest
- The Annual Boat Race
- Mug Suck
- Camp Feast
- Ladies, Kids and Gentleman's games! Fun for all!!!
- New this year, The West Augusta Clue Hunt
WOODS WALK: Each shooter must supply a blanket prize ($25.00 value) pertaining to the period. Bring blanket prizes to the registration tent before reporting to the range. The Woods Walk will be open Thursday - Friday - Saturday from 10:00 AM until 3:30 PM (last shooter at 3:00PM) Other match times will be announced.
CAMP FEAST: The camp feast will be Saturday evening around 6:00 PM. Please bring a covered dish. Beer and pop and meat will be provided. Prizes will be awarded and we will have the closing ceremony.
VISITOR HOURS: Saturday 10:00 AM
WATER & FIREWOOD & SHOWERS & TRASH: Firewood and water is supplied. Bringing your own water is encouraged. We will have a shower set up on site. If you want to enjoy bathing in the creek, please take your bubbles up stream! No trash service available, please take out what you bring into camp.
MODERN CAMPING: Sites are available near the rendezvous site. No electric hookup available.
NO PETS ALLOWED - NO VEHICLES ALLOWED INTO CAMP AFTER DARK - NO EXCEPTIONS!!
